Assure your success with a Dibble Institute presentation!

While training is not required for teaching our programs, we do recommend training. Hands-on training will help make your staff feel more confident and comfortable in successfully teaching any one of our programs Attendees have said it best.

The Dibble Institute will send an author or an experienced trainer to equip your staff with the tools they need to successfully and confidently implement relationship skills programs with teens. All trainings and presentations are customized to your needs. Review the following to determine which best fits your needs and your budget.

Curriculum Training
Our in-depth training will guide participants through:

  • Program philosophy and goals
  • Explanation of key lessons
  • Hands-on experience with curriculum activities
  • Supplemental resources including additional research sources and useful web sites.
  • Follow up support from the Dibble Institute staff.

Curriculum training requires a minimum of ten participants and a minimum purchase of ten units of one or more of the Connections, Love U2 and The Art of Loving Well programs. (One unit includes an Instructor’s Manual and materials for at least 10 students.)

Professional Development is the option to choose when you are interested in learning more about helping youth develop healthy relationships skills but you are not ready to purchase the programs. Should your organization or attendees of this program purchase curriculum within 30 days following the Professional Development presentation, no shipping fee will be charged.

A Professional Development program can be for one hour or all day. Our experienced staff of authors and speakers can cover a variety of relevant topics. A few suggested topics include but are not limited to:

  • Curricula Overview (any one or all the Dibble Institute curricula)
  • Why Marriage Matters: The price of unhealthy relationships
  • Financial Stress on Families: A Teachable Moment on Resiliency
  • Technology: Changing the Way Teens Think
Linking technology with brain development and its impact on how teens handle their relationships
  • Why Buy the Cow? (Co-habitation presentation)
  • Integrating Character Education with Relationship Education
  • Teaching High-Risk Teens about Healthy Relationships

You may have many other ideas for topics as well. We are happy and able to address any teen issue relating to the development of their future relationships– helping you help them!

Professional Development may be a teacher in-service day, pre or post conference event (full or half-day); keynote address, plenary session, community presentation, or an extended workshop at a professional gathering. We are most willing to work with you to determine an appropriate topic and approach to meet your needs.

Whatever the approach, all information presented will be based on both 30 years of social-scientific research on marriage and family as well as evidence-based evaluations on program effectiveness.
